Use of School Buildings.

Thank you for your interest in using a building or facility of the Oxford Public School District.

It is the goal of the Oxford Public Schools to ensure that all school buildings are adequately maintained and ready to serve the educational needs of the students. The use of school facilities by the general public cannot be allowed to detract from the educational mission or place unnecessary burdens on their primary function.

School facilities will only be available for use by the general public when they are not otherwise required in connection with the educational mission of the Oxford Public Schools, or in connection with activities sponsored by the Town of Oxford or Oxford School Department. Further, the use of a school building may be restricted so as to allow adequate time for maintenance and repair by school personnel and/or contracting agents of the Oxford Public Schools.

All persons or organizations interested in using a school building or facility must complete a Building Use Application Form. Eligible organizations include: (1) Municipal agencies or departments; (2) Educational agencies or programs operated by a non-profit organization; (3) Non-profit and tax-exempt organizations operating for the benefit of the students in Oxford Public Schools; and (4) Other non-profit and tax-exempt organizations either located in Oxford or operating for the benefit of Oxford residents. (Verification that an applicant organization is a non-profit organization with tax-exempt 501c(3) status may be required at the time of application.)
