ETHICS ONLINE TRAINING
The State Ethics Commission provides this educational tool, which includes a short presentation with multiple-choice questions that present certain scenarios in which an ethical quandary has been presented, and you must choose the proper course of action.
A Certificate of Completion must be printed or saved as a PDF at the end of the quiz (we highly recommend that you keep a copy for your own personal files) and sent to the Superintendent's Office. This must be done within 30 calendar days by new employees and also once every two years during employment thereafter.
If you do not know when you last completed the online training, we recommend that you take it again - the training takes about one hour.

At the conclusion of the training module, fill in your name and position title, and either print out or save as a PDF the “Certificate of Completion” and forward it via email or inter-office mail to the Central Office employee listed below. The date of completion will be recorded for record-keeping purposes and the paper certificate will then be forwarded to the Oxford Town Clerk's Office. Thank you!
Who is Exempt from this Ethics Training?
According to the State Ethics Commission, positions that may be exempted from the ethics training requirements include short-term temporary or seasonal compensated positions, in which employees do not have or exercise governmental authority and do not participate in or have responsibility for government decision-making, contracting, hiring, investigation, or any other discretionary governmental action.
Effective January 1, 2022, the following positions are exempt from the state ethics online training requirement for Oxford Public Schools:
Substitute Teachers
Substitute Secretaries
Substitute Custodians
Substitute Food Service Workers
Substitute Recess Aides
Substitute Nurses
Substitute EduCare Aides
Seasonal Athletic Coaches
