Technology Professional Development
The Oxford Public Schools has many on-going activities in the area of technology professional development to further assist our staff in integrating technology into the curriculum and building technology comfort and proficiency. Below are links to many of our current and past activities these links also include access to many handouts, sample documents, informative screen shots and video clip tutorials.
After Hours Technology Training: The Oxford Public School District will be conducting several free technology trainings for all faculty and staff throughout the year. Everyone employed by the school district is encouraged to attend. These trainings will focus on basic computer use and terminology, several programs in the Microsoft Office Suite as well as digital imaging. BoardMaker with Speaking Dynamically Pro Training: On August 23 & 24, 2007 the Oxford Public School District will be conducting a 2 day workshop on BoardMaker with SD PRO. This training is intended to assist educators and paraprofessionals with students who use this program on an Augmentative Communication Device. This workshop is free to Oxford employees and is open to members of other educational agencies for a small fee. Beginning this year the Oxford Public Schools is offering all administrative assistants, secretaries and office personnel the opportunity to increase their technology expertise by offering the Administrative Technology Training. This training which takes includes 6 - 2.5 hour sessions over the course of 12 weeks is streamlined to meet the distinct needs of our office and support staff.
