Policy Manual

It is the hope of the Oxford School Committee that this collection of official policies will make greater harmony and efficiency possible in all areas of school operations.

Policy development in a modern, forward-looking school system is a dynamic, ongoing process. New challenges, issues, and needs give rise to the continuing need to develop new policies or to revise existing ones.

The Oxford Public Schools Policy Subcommittee meets regularly to complete a comprehensive review of each district policy, making the necessary modifications to address new issues or circumstances, updates to remain in compliance with legal requirements, and other considerations.

The School Committee, with recommendations from the Policy Subcommittee, is tasked with ensuring that this manual remains current. The Superintendent's Office ensures that as policy changes are adopted, these will be updated in the Policy Manual.

Disclaimer: The Policy Manual, as published, is a work in progress. It is noted at the end of each individual policy the date when that policy was initially adopted, reviewed, or revised and re-adopted. Some policies are currently under review (language may be in red ink or yellow highlight) and have not been officially adopted by the School Committee.
