TRANSLATION OF INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES WITH A HOME LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH
The Special Services Department will accommodate all students and families whose primary language is other than English upon identification or notice to the special services office. This assistance will include interpreters at all meetings and the translation of all documents into the family’s native language.
At the request of the parent/guardian or adult student whose primary language is not English, school-generated documents such as the student handbook, code of discipline, procedural notices, correspondence, and the like will be translated into the primary language. This can be implemented in two ways:
The Oxford Public Schools website provides for all documents to be translated via google translator, located on the top right-hand side of the toolbar.
Requests for translation should be made to the Director of Student Services and Special Education.
