6/15 Barton Family Update

Posted Date: 06/15/26 (12:01 PM)

Hello Barton Families-
We are in the home stretch! Thank you for all of the collaboration this year in support of our kids' growth.  It truly takes a village!

For Your Calendars

6/16 Grade 5 "Moving On Ceremony" 12:45 in Gym- Doors will open at 12:15- Plan for a warm environment!
6/17 Last Day of School (Half Day)
6/24 Oxford Town Take Over at Polar Park!
August 1-7 Class Assignments Mailed to Families

Summer Mailing
Students should all receive a letter during the first week in August with classroom assignments.  Teachers work hard to create groups that will set students up for success and teachers are added later once staffing/assignments are finalized at each level. Please trust the process!

Summer Assignment Packets
Mrs. Delgado provided students with a summer folder should they like to complete it.  These are not mandatory but are highly recommended to keep those skills fresh!

Challenge for Fun
Last year we enjoyed seeing our students "Going Places" over the summer as a way of kicking off our theme for the year.  This summer, we encourage students to have fun building- and share what they are able to create by emailing photos to wherewillmangogo@oxps.org .   We will share photos and recognize participants when we are back together in the fall.

Shout Out a Teacher...
Any time you'd like to share a great experience you or your child has with a staff member, consider clicking on or scanning the QR code below to send an anonymous message of thanks to your child's teacher from you.  (We share with the staff member and the Superintendent's office any time we receive one!)  It really goes a long way in filling their cup and making the days bright!
Contact Information
Reaching out to your child’s teacher directly is the best place to start when you have questions or concerns! Parent Square is a great way to connect, but please remember that staff are focused on the students in front of them throughout the day, and cannot always respond right away. If there is an immediate need, please reach out to Mrs. Mayo in the main office who will be able to help you- (508) 987-6066. Here are some other key staff members you may want to reach out to:
Special Ed: Special Ed Teachers or Rich Maliff rmaliff@oxps.org
Guidance/504: Leah Roffo lroffo@oxps.org
Assistant Principal: Miriam Sas msas@oxps.org
