Substitute Teachers are always in demand!

If you do not have computer access or are not comfortable using the SchoolSpring website and you are applying for a Non-Professional position (such as Substitute Teacher, Cafeteria Worker, Custodian, or Recess Aide), you may complete and sign our paper Employment Application (see form below) and drop it off or mail it to the Superintendent's Office at 4 Maple Road in Oxford, OR you may scan/email your paper application to hcoffin@oxps.org 

2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR - SUBSTITUTE TEACHER PAY RATES
DAY-TO-DAY SUBSTITUTE TEACHER:  $120.00 per day
 

LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER (30 - 90 classroom days in the same assignment):

$150.00 per day for the first 30 consecutive days of classroom instruction and then $287 per day. If it is known at the time of hire that the placement will exceed 30 classroom instruction days, the long-term substitute may be paid $287 per day beginning on day 1, at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools. DESE certification is preferred but not required. Long-term subs are not eligible for employment fringe benefits.

EXTENDED-TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER (90 classroom days or longer in the same assignment):

The Superintendent of Schools will determine the salary based on education, experience, and credentials per the Oxford Education Association salary scale. DESE certification is required for extended-term substitute teachers. Extended-term substitutes are eligible for certain employment fringe benefits.
